although he doubts he will ever come back. At first sight this title could be used as foreshadow that the following poem will be about making a mistake, not making the right choice (not taking the right road) therefore establishing a gloomy, mournful tone. A common, mistakenly chosen, main subject of the poem is regret. The Road Not Taken shows us that the choices we make in life should be based on our individual values. You are free to choose what choice to make but in the end the choices you make are still a part of your fate.

The narrator says his reaction to the decision with words and phrases that could mean positive success or negative regret. Same thing applies vice versa. Not only is his work A Road Less Traveled my favorite poem out of his collection of works, it is my favorite poem ever. The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost shows the narrator coming to a fork in the wood, which offers two paths to take. Both paths are equally grassy and overlaid with leaves. The title is contradicting the subject of the poem and vice versa but it is nonetheless true. True, there is a lot of regret within the poem and fear of making the wrong choice but it still misses the main idea of actual title which is The Road Not Taken. As I read and analyzed this poem I became aware that it is indeed a great poem and that the reader must dig deep in order to find the true message of the poem The Road Not Taken Analysis. He says that whatever you do, you will pick the right path of life because it is your own. I love this poem so much because of its uplifting theme, deep symbolism, and major conflict. "The Road Not Taken" deals with the choice between two roads, and with the results of the choice which the poet makes. This is an extended metaphor; meaning that it continues throughout the whole poem.
